Give an old chandelier a new look with a coat of Rust-Oleum® Painter’s Touch+. Choose a classic colour like Aluminium or Black, or try a bold splash of Chile Red. Either way, you get superior coverage, so get twice as creative with this everyday object.

STEPS
1. PREPARE
: Always work in a well-ventilated area. Cover the ground and any nearby items with a drop cloth to protect from spray mist. Lightly sand the metal surface of the chandelier to rough it up. Wipe clean with a damp lint-free cloth and let dry. Tape off any areas not to be painted and remove any bulbs or glass parts. Priming is specially recommended for bare metal, use Painter’s Touch+ Primer for superior adhesion.

2. PAINT: Shake can for 1 minute after the mixing ball begins to rattle. Hold the can 25-40cm from the surface and spray in a steady back-and-forth motion, slightly overlapping with each stroke. For best results, while spraying, keep the can the same distance from the surface and keep the can in motion. Apply several light coats a few minutes apart. TIP: If possible, suspend the chandelier when spraying so all surfaces are accessible.

3. FINISH: Remove the painter’s tape from the surface while the final coat is still wet. Allow the chandelier to fully dry for 24 hours before hanging.
